EDUCATION

Research Programs
The BRC is an active participant in many of the MBL teaching and fellowship programs, hosting both undergraduate and graduate students on a regular basis and training new users of our technology. We continue to provide support for numerous external investigators. The Center currently supports 37 external awards. Sixteen experimental platforms have now been installed in other institutions. Fourteen, the more recent installations, are maintained through Internet access from the Center.

Brown University Joint Graduate Program
In the fall of 2003, the MBL formally joined with Brown University in an education and research partnership. Graduate students and faculty alike can take advantage of the geographic proximity of Brown and MBL, uniting their expertise in biology and medicine, particularly for molecular biology, genomics, ecosystems studies, environmental science, global infectious diseases, neuroscience and public health.
